Art Out of Conflict: Young Ukrainian artists, Katya Timoshenko ARE and Mykhailo Drimaylo ARE have followed different paths, but “the similarities between them and their work provide an insight into the country and its culture, as well as into its influence on their work”, writes Richard Noyce.

Based in North London, Katya Timoshenko first studied art and printmaking in the Ukraine back in 2002, but a lack of available open access print studios found her dabbling instead with photography and creating glass paintings, for which she received gallery representation.
