Katya Timoshenko is a London-based multimedia artist and printmaker, known for blending traditional Slavic iconography with contemporary techniques. Her work spans etching, screen printing, and painting on glass, exploring themes of identity, memory, and cultural heritage. Timoshenko’s art reflects on personal experiences, drawing on her Ukrainian roots to create pieces that shift between introspection, myth, and memory.

Through her practice, Timoshenko invites viewers to engage in personal dialogues about culture, vulnerability, and the spaces between the seen and unseen. Timoshenko strives to tell stories that resonate on a personal level, engaging the viewer in conversations about identity, memory and place.

Her recent focus on printmaking combines technical mastery with tactile exploration, creating multi-layered works that evoke both reflection and transformation. A Fellow Member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE), Timoshenko has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, London Original Print Fair, Affordable Art Fair, and Women in Art Fair.

As a founding member of the Darko Zine Collective, Timoshenko is committed to fostering artistic collaboration. She also teaches specialised printmaking workshops, inspiring students to push creative boundaries through techniques like multi-plate etching, monoprint and screen printing.
